Navigating IGI Cargo Terminal – Entry Pass Guidelines for Agents

 If you are a customs agent, freight forwarder, broker, or consulate agent visiting the Cargo Terminal at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, New Delhi, the process requires obtaining the appropriate entry pass. Here's a detailed guide to help streamline your experience.

Temporary Entry Pass
For one-time or occasional visits, a temporary entry pass is available. You can obtain this pass from the DIAL Pass Section, located at Gate Nos. 3 and 4 of the Cargo Terminal.

Permanent Entry Pass
If your company frequently ships cargo via IGI Airport, a permanent entry pass is mandatory. This is particularly essential for customs clearance agents.

Steps to Apply for a Permanent Entry Pass:

  1. Download and Fill the Form

  2. Prepare the Required Documents

    • Passport-sized photograph.
    • Police verification certificate.
    • Valid ID and address proof.
    • Official request letter on your company’s letterhead with a signature.
    • DIAL registration copy for consulate agents or customs house agent registration copy.
    • Relevant shipping documents: AWB copy for cargo agents or Bill of Entry for customs agents.
  3. Submission Process

    • Carry original documents for verification.
    • Submit the completed form and documents at the DIAL office.
    • Pay the fee of ₹58 and retain the payment receipt.
  4. Collection of Pass

    • Processing takes approximately 15–20 days.
    • Bring your payment receipt to collect the pass from the DIAL office.

Important Note: The payment receipt is mandatory when retrieving the permanent pass.
