Yamaha has officialy launched YZF R15 V.3 in India during Auto Expo 2018 at Rs 1,25,000/- Ex Showroom Delhi. Launched back in 2008, it was the first fully faired, liquid engine with four valves made in India bike. It got first facelift in 2011 as YZF R15 V.2 with updated rear styling. Lets talk about the changes in details

Looks and Design

YZF R15 V.3 now features design inspired by its bigger sibling R1. The first thing that gets your attention is the all new front end featuring new LED lights and aerodynamic front cowl with air vent. This combined with now more larger windscreen and newly designed rear view mirrors give it a sportier and predator like looks. Featuring in two dual tone colors further enhances its looks.

The fairing neatly integrates with the sculpted fuel tank which combined with clip on handlebars give it a proper sportsbike feel.

Coming to the rear section the tail now features the all new LED design. The tyres also has been upgraded to 140 section rear and 110 front which endow it the big bike feel.

Engine Specifications

The heart of the matter features the all new 155cc liquid cooled, fuel injected 4 valve engine producing 19.3 bhp of power at 15 nm of peak power. It is mated to the same 6 speed transmission. It now features the all new Variable Valve Actuation(VVA) which aids in both lower down and top end torque. Slipper clutch and assist clutch is also now standard.

Features

It now features the all new fully digital instrument cluster featuring shift light, USB charging port and VVA indicator. Suspension duties are handled by the telescopic front and mono link rear monoshock. Disappointedly ABS has been given miss.
